Anoushka Sarathy holding a camera with a river landscape behind her

Who am I?

I don’t even have that question fully answered. But for now, Hi! I’m Anoushka Sarathy.

I was born and raised in Northern Virginia, and I’m currently a photographer for Exeter Athletics. When I’m not staring down the black line at the bottom of a pool, I’ve got a camera in my hand, chasing light, laughter, and moments that deserve to live forever in pixels.

I started photography deep in the Serengeti hoping to get a National Geo worthy photo. While at the time, I thought I had succeeded, I knew I still had so much more to learn. So, I started learning by doing and my camera became an extension of my hand. To catch my brain up, I watched YouTube tutorials about framing and aperture. Then I made sure to take advantage of every opportunity I could to take photos: I was at every game, every concert, every event.

I am excited to continue learning as time goes on. I’m exploring every corner of photography; whether it’s capturing the intensity of players mid-game, the calm of a morning landscape, or the surprise stare of a squirrel who clearly didn’t sign a model release.

Catch me in action,

Anoushka
